Game Pass startet mit neuen Abo-Stufen und teureren Preisen

Microsoft hat den Xbox Game Pass grundlegend überarbeitet. Ab sofort stehen drei neue Abo-Stufen zur Auswahl: Essential, Premium und Ultimate. Nominell lösen Sie die bisherigen Stufen Core, Standard und Ultimate ab. Es ändern sich jedoch einige Dinge.

Die Tarife sollen unterschiedliche Bedürfnisse abdecken – vom Gelegenheitsspieler bis hin zum Enthusiasten mit Anspruch auf das volle Spielepaket inklusive Cloud-Gaming und Zusatzdienste.

Preise in Deutschland

Die neuen monatlichen Preise für Deutschland sehen wie folgt aus:

• Essential (statt Core): 8,99 € (statt bisher 6,99 €)
• Premium (statt Standard): 12,99 € (vorher auch 12,99 €)
• Ultimate: 26,99 € (statt bisher 17,99 €)
• Dazu gibt es weiterhin den Game Pass PC für 14,99 € (statt bisher 11,99 €)

Damit verteuert sich vor allem das Ultimate-Abo spürbar. Nutzer bestehender Abos sollen automatisch in die entsprechenden neuen Tarife überführt werden. Auch die Umrechnung bereits bezahlter Abo-Zeiten erfolgt nach festen Konvertierungsraten.

Ultimate: Volle Ausstattung für Vielspieler

Der Ultimate-Tarif bietet Zugriff auf über 400 Spiele sowie über 75 Day-One-Releases pro Jahr. Neu dabei sind unter anderem Ubisoft+ Classics und Fortnite Crew. Außerdem wurde die Cloud-Gaming-Qualität auf bis zu 1440p erhöht.

Premium-Nutzer erhalten Zugriff auf über 200 Spiele für Konsole, PC und Cloud. Day-One-Titel von Xbox erscheinen allerdings erst innerhalb eines Jahres – Call of Duty-Titel sind ausgenommen. Inklusive sind auch In-Game-Boni sowie ein reduziertes Rewards-Programm.

Fazit

Microsoft bietet mit dem neuen Stufenmodell mehr Auswahl, erhöht allerdings auch die Preise spürbar – vor allem beim Ultimate-Abo. Wer weiterhin Day-One-Spiele und Premium-Extras nutzen möchte, muss künftig tiefer in die Tasche greifen. Inoffizielle Wege zum Sparen gibt es. Sie bergen aber Risiken, wenn Microsoft sie auf einem hiesigen Konto ausmacht und mal einen schlechten Tag hat.
